Quantock Leisure & Automotive is built on years of hands-on experience, a strong work ethic and a genuine passion for doing things properly.

 

The business was founded by Steve, who originally started out under the name Gibson’s Leisure. What began as a small, hands-on operation has grown into what is now Quantock Leisure & Automotive — a trusted name for practical, high-quality vehicle conversions.

 

Steve is very much at the heart of everything here. A true all-rounder, he gets stuck into every part of the build process, bringing experience, skill and attention to detail to each project. Before this, he ran his own Snap-on franchise, building up years of technical knowledge and customer experience that still shapes the way the business operates today.

 

Outside of work, life revolves around family. Whether it’s heading out in their own camper van, days out exploring, long walks or a bit of bird watching, Steve lives the lifestyle that many of his customers are building towards. That real-world experience plays a big part in how each conversion is designed — practical, comfortable and built to be used.

 

He also has a real passion for classic cars, having restored his own Mk1 Escort RS2000 — something that reflects the same care and craftsmanship that goes into every vehicle that comes through the workshop.
